Louvre museum : timeless faces
To my mind, the most fascinating thing in a museum is the sculptured face. When you stay a moment in front of it, deeply looking into its eyes, the crowd starts to disappear around you, the lights go down, the sound muffles. It’s simply about you and It, looking at each other. I mean, a sculpture is full of mystical strengh that makes you feel really small. When you’ve got an Egyptian bust compelling its stature, its greatness & its serenity, you’re just freezing on the spot.
When it finally allows you to go, you think about how insignificant you are, you stay quiet & you listen. 'Cause the Egyptian knows what will happen in the future. Not you.
